Laos aims to promote awareness of public health

VIENTIANE, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) — The “Media for One Health” project was launched in Laos here on Monday, bringing together local journalists and health experts for a training program, Lao News Agency reported on Tuesday.
The two-year project seeks to empower journalists across Southeast Asia to help improve public awareness and policy action on pressing global health issues.
By understanding the complex interdependence between the environment, animal health, and human health, journalists will be better equipped to tackle stories on zoonotic diseases, environmental degradation, and climate change. ■
